Ultimate slasher documentary 'Slice and Dice: The Slasher Film Forever' arrives on DVD

We are thrilled to announce that The Complete History of Mad Maniac Movies - Slice and Dice: The Slasher Film Forever cuts its way onto DVD in a splatter-packed two-disc set on May 13 2013 through the all new and exciting horror specialist distributor 88 Films.

The winner of the best documentary award at the annual South African Horror Film Festival, which was also given a competitive late night slot for its première at the prestigious Sitges Film Festival, Slice and Dice: The Slasher Film Forever has obtained numerous accolades and been labelled as “Essential viewing” (Twitch Film).

Filleting-up numerous facts, which will appeal to both the seasoned follower of shock-cinema, and the more passive fan of fear-films, and featuring interviews with Corey Feldman (Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter), Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre), Mick Garris (Masters of Horror), Tom Holland (Child's Play), Jeffrey Reddick (creator: Final Destination), Adam Green (Hatchet) and Scott Spiegel (producer: Hostel series) to name but a few, this is a documentary which aptly investigates the appeal of the ever-endurable stalk and slash trend. Slice and Dice: The Slasher Film Forever explores all of the genre's most famous features - including Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Halloween and Friday the 13th - as well as various cult obscurities and long forgotten flops!

There will be special screenings at the Glasgow Film Theatre on March 24th at 18:30 and at the Stockport Plaza on March 26th at 19:15 (as part of GrimmFest) on a double-bill with Scott Spiegel's classic Intruder. In attendance at the Glasgow screening will be British filmmaker Norman J. Warren (Prey, Terror, Bloody New Year) and James Moran (screenwriter for Doctor Who as well as recent Brit-horror hits Severance, Cockney's vs. Zombies and Tower Block), both of whom appear in the documentary, as well as Director Calum Waddell and Producer/Editor Naomi Holwill.
